Cassia Research, a Canadian fintech startup, founded in January 2013

Canadian fintech Cassia Research was founded by Henry Bee and Jesse Chen in early 2013. Cassia Research provides technology-driven services to financial advisors. Cassia Research’s mission is to “bring institutional investing strategies to everyone”.

The company has successfully launched two separate products: Cruise is an asset management outsourcing service launched in June 2014 and CoPilot is an asset management SaaS platform for investment advisors launched in April 2016. Cassia’s technology focus is on “using a state-of-the-art risk management and asset allocation technology” to help their financial services clients.

Currently, CoPilot is being used by over +2500 advisors and companies such as Merill Lynch, MassMutual, UBS, Raymond James and Morgan Stanley are mentioned as references.

In late 2014, Cassia Research partnered with CONCERT Wealth Management to offer “institutional quant technology to investment advisors”. In March 2018, Cassia Research partnered with FinMason, a Boston-based fintech and investment analytics firm.
